What is an eSIM?

An eSIM is a digital SIM card that lets you access mobile data without using a physical SIM. You install it instantly by scanning a QR code.

Is my phone compatible with eSIM?

Most modern smartphones support eSIM, including iPhone XS and newer, Samsung Galaxy S20+, Google Pixel 3+, and many others. We strongly recommend checking compatibility before purchasing.

How do I buy a Teltrip eSIM?

Choose your destination, select a data plan, and complete checkout. After purchase, your eSIM QR code will be sent to the email address used at checkout.

Important: Each purchase is linked to one email = one eSIM. If you need multiple eSIMs (for family, friends, or multiple devices), please place separate purchases using different email addresses.

How do I activate my eSIM?

After purchase, you’ll receive a QR code by email. On your phone, go to eSIM/SIM settings, scan the QR code, and enable the eSIM for mobile data. Also, enable Data Roaming on eSIM.

When does my eSIM start working?

Your eSIM activates when it first connects to a supported network in your destination country. Validity starts from the first successful connection not from purchase time.

Can I use my eSIM in multiple countries?

Yes. We offer Local, Regional, and Global eSIM plans. Regional and Global plans work across multiple countries without changing settings.

Will I get a phone number with the eSIM?

No. Teltrip eSIMs are data-only. You can still use WhatsApp, iMessage, FaceTime, Telegram, Zoom, and other apps for calls and messages.

Can I use my physical SIM and eSIM at the same time?

Yes. Most phones support dual SIM (physical SIM + eSIM). You can keep your regular SIM for calls/SMS and use Teltrip eSIM for mobile data.

What happens if I run out of data?

Once your data is used, the connection will stop. You can purchase another plan on our website and get back online quickly.

Is the internet speed limited or throttled?

No throttling. You get high-speed LTE/5G where available, depending on the local network coverage in your destination.
